A mixture of 2.0 g (0.0051 mol) of the compound of Example 10, 6.4 ml of water, 6.4 ml of ethanol, and 0.4 g of NaOH is stirred at ambient temperature overnight, then concentrated in vacuo. The residue is dissolved in water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The aqueous phase is acidified using acetic acid and extracted with methylene chloride. The organic extracts are dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated in vacuo. The resulting powder is triturated with petroleum ether to give 42 mg of the title compound: IR (KBr) 3250 (br), 2940 (br), 2500 (br), 1700 , and 1600 cm-1 ; NMR (DMSO-d6) δ8.18-7.58 (m, 11H), 3.24-2.90 (m, 5H), 2.38-2.22 (m, 1H), and 2.10-1.98 (m, 1H).
