Intermediate 2a (3.49 g, 9.4 mmol) is treated with a saturated solution of ammonia in ethanol (60 mL) and heated at 90° C. in an autoclave for 15 hours. The solvent is evaporated off under reduced pressure to yield the crude product which is purified by chromatography on silica gel, eluent 25% aqueous NH3 --MeOH--tBuOMe (1:5:94) to give the title compound as a foam, having the following physical characteristics:
