Substantially the same procedure as in Example 7 was repeated using 2.0 g (10.1 mmol) of 5,6-diamino-1,3-diethyluracil and 2.52 g (12.1 mmol) of 2,3-dimethoxycinnamic acid. Then, the resultant crude crystals were recrystallized from dimethylsulfoxide/water to give 1.72 g (yield 46%) of Compound 66 as a white powder.
