Reaction Steps

Substantially the same procedure as in Example 7 was repeated using 2.50 g (12.6 mmol) of 5,6-diamino-1,3-diethyluracil and 2.89 g (13.9 mmol) of 2,4-dimethoxycinnamic acid. Then, the resultant crude crystals were recrystallized from dimethylformamide/ethanol to give 0.92 g (yield 20%) of Compound 68 as yellow crystals.
