Reaction Steps

Substantially the same procedure as in Example 7 was repeated using 2.00 g (10.1 mmol) of 5,6-diamino-1,3-diethyluracil and 2.72 g (10.6 mmol) of 3-bromo-4-methoxycinnamic acid. Then, the resultant crude crystals were recrystallized from dioxane to give 726 mg (yield 17%) of Compound 118 as pale brown needles.
