Procedure
A suspension of 6-[4-chloro-2-(chloromethyl)benzyl]-1-methyl-1H-benzotriazole (0.11 g) from Example 78, 1H-1,2,4-triazole (37 mg) and cesium carbonate (0.18 g) in acetonitrile (2 ml) was refluxed for 30 minutes. After removal of the solvent, the resulting residue was purified by chromatography on a silica gel column (methylene chloride:methanol=99:1), to give the title compound (63mg; 52%). The purity of the compound was 96.7% by HPLC.
