Procedure
To a solution of Example 19 in pyridine (10 mL) at 0° C. is added dropwise methanesulfonyl chloride (0.86 mL). After 45 minutes at 0° C., the reaction is allowed to warm to room temperature and stirred an additional 30 minutes. The pyridine is removed and the residue taken up into CH2Cl2 and washed with 10% HCl. The organic phase is washed with brine, dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated. Chromatography on silica gel will provide the desired material.
