Procedure

A mixture of 7.4 g of 4-(chloroacetyl)-4,5-dihydro-7-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-carbonitrile, 5.4 g of 2-trifluoromethylbenzyl piperazine and 2.4 g of sodium carbonate in 260 ml of toluene was reacted as described in Example 146, giving 6.1 g of the desired product, mp 169°-171° C.
