Reaction Steps
A mixture of 4.4 g of 6-chloro-benz(cd)indole-2-thiol, 3.06 g of 5-(1H-imidazol-l-yl)pentanamine, 6.3 g of mercuric acetate and 150 ml of ethanol was reacted as described in Example 1, giving 5.2 g of the desired product, mp 132° C.-134° C.
