Reaction Steps
14.3 g of ethyl 1-(2,6-dichlorophenyl)-pyrazole-5-carboxylate from Example 4 were dissolved in 100 ml of glacial acetic acid, 10 g of Na acetate were added, and 4.5 g of bromine were added dropwise at room temperature. After 60 hours, the reaction mixture was poured into 1 liter of water, washed with water and recrystallized from ethanol.
