00 g of 3-(5-amino-4-chloro-2-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-6-trifluoromethyl-2,4(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedione was dissolved in 5 ml of benzene. To the obtained solution, 0.61 ml of acetic anhydride was added and the resultant solution was refluxed for one hour. After distilling off benzene, the obtained crude product was washed with hexane to obtain 3-(5-acetylamino-4-chloro-2 fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-6-trifluoromethyl-2,4(1H,3H) -pyrimidinedione as white crystals.
