To a THF (20 ml) solution of ethyl 2,6-dichloro-5-nitropyrimidine-4-carboxylate (1.0 g, 3.80 mmol) was slowly added the 5-cyclopropyl-1H-pyrazol-3-amine (0.48 g, 3.85 mmol) in THF (5 ml) at 0° C. The reaction was stirred at 0° C. for 10 minutes, treated with water (50 ml), and then extracted with DCM (3×50 ml), dried, filtered, and concentrated to give the title compound (1.2 g). MS: Calcd.: 352; Found: [M+H]+ 353.
