5-(3-Imidazol-1-yl-4-methanesulfonyl-phenyl)-4-methyl-thiazol-2-ylamine (Example 148) (0.537 g, 1.60 mmol) and chloroacetyl chloride (5 ml) are heated together for 2 hours. The reaction mixture is allowed to cool to room temperature and the solid filtered and washed with saturated sodium bicarbonate solution (3×100 ml) and water (2×50 ml) to yield the titled compound.
