Procedure
A solution of 1 mmol of 2-amino-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)propan-1-ol (Example 3k) and 0.5 mmol of 2,4-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane 2,4-disulfide (Lawesson's reagent) [19172-47-5] in 10 ml of toluene is heated to reflux for 2 hours. The reaction mixture is cooled to room temperature and evaporated. The title compound is identified from the residue on the basis of the Rf by flash chromatography (SiO2 60 F).
