A solution of 1 mmol of 5-hydroxy-5-(1-trityl-1H-imidazol-4-yl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalene-2-carbonitrile (Example 1d1) and 0.5 mmol of 2,4-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane 2,4-disulphide (Lawesson's reagent) [19172-47-5] in 10 ml of toluene is heated to reflux for 2 hours. The reaction mixture is cooled to room temperature and evaporated. The title compound is identified from the residue on the basis of the Rf by flash chromatography (SiO2 60F).
