N,N-dimethyl-4-(3-(2-(pyridin-4-yl)ethyl)-1H-indol-2-yl)-1-(thiophen-2-yl)cyclohexanamine (more polar diastereoisomer) (43 mg, 0.1 mmol) was dissolved in ethyl acetate (20 ml). Me3SiCl (19 μl, 0.15 mmol) was then added dropwise at RT and the mixture was stirred for 1 h. A white precipitate precipitated out. The precipitate was filtered off with suction, washed with ethyl acetate (2×5 ml) and then dried. Example 304 (40 mg, m.p. 188-191° C., yield 87%) was a white solid.
