0.26 g (0.76 mmol) of (rac)-4-(2-oxo-tetrahydro-furan-3-yl)-1-(3-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-[1,4]diazepan-5-one (example 15C) was dissolved in 3 ml of EtOH and treated with 2.71 ml (15.19 mmol) of a solution of dimethylamine (5.6 M in EtOH). The reaction was stirred 20 h at RT, evaporated and re-evaporated with toluene to afford 0.31 g (quantitative) of the title compound as yellow oil. MS: 388.1 (MH+).
