3-Methyl-2-pyridinecarboxylic acid (35 mg, 0.25 mmol) and CDl (45 mg, 0.28 mmol) were stirred in anhydrous DMSO (0.9 ml) at rt for 1 h. (1Z)-5-(3-Butyl-8-chloro-2,6-dioxo-2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-purin-1-yl)-N-hydroxypentanimidamide (100 mg, 0.28 mmol) was added and the mixture was stirred at 90° C. for 16 h. The reaction mixture was purified by MDAP. The product fraction was combined and concentrated to give the title compound as a white solid 14 mg, 12%).
