Reaction Steps
Under an atmosphere of nitrogen, trifluoroacetic acid was added to a solution of (2-{3-chloro-4-[3,3,3-trifluoro-2-hydroxy-1-methyl-2-(5-methyl-pyrazin-2-yl)-propyl]-phenoxy}-ethyl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (example 84) in dichloromethane. The reaction mixture was stirred for 1 h at r.t., and then diluted with water, neutralized (satd. NaHCO3) and extracted (ethyl acetate). The combined organic layers were dried, filtered, and evaporated. Flash chromatography provided the title compound. MS (m/e)=390.3 (MH+).
