A solution of tert-butyl 2-({[(4-aminopyrrolo[2,1-f][1,2,4]triazin-7-yl)carbonyl]amino}methyl)morpholine-4-carboxylate (100 mg, 0.27 mmol) in THF (5 mL) was cooled to −50° C. and treated with 1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (37 mg, 0.13 mmol) in portions over 30 min. The reaction was then quenched with satd. Na2SO3 and warmed to rt. The product was extracted with EtOAc, dried (MgSO4), and concentrated. The crude product was triturated with EtOAc and filtered. A white solid was collected (60 mg, 50%). MS [M+H]+=545.96, 456.86; LCMS RT=2.90 min.
