To a stirred solution of [3,5-Diethyl-4-(7-methoxy-6-methyl-indan-4-ylmethyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]-acetic acid hydrazide (1.5 gm, 0.0041 mole) in 1,4-Dioxane (70 ml), Carbonyl-diimidazole (2.0 gm, 0.0121 mole) was added at 20-30° C. The reaction mixture was stirred for 8 hours at 90-95° C. The reaction mixture was cooled and poured into water (200 ml), stirred for 2 hours and then separated solid was filtered. Further the solid was stirred in Diethyl ether (25 ml) and filtered, dried to give 900 mg of desired product as a solid.
