Reaction Steps

To a solution of Example 26 (1.20 g, 1.93 mmol) in THF (15 mL) at room temperature was added TBAF (2 mL of a 1 M solution in THF, 2 mmol). The reaction was stirred for 2 hours, then diluted with water (20 mL) and saturated brine (80 mL), and extracted with dichloromethane (4×120 mL). The combined organic phases were dried (MgSO4) and concentrated in vacuo. Purification by column chromatography in ethyl acetate:methanol (9:1) gave the product as an oil. Yield=0.797 g, 81%.
