Reaction Steps

To a solution of Example 31 (1.659 g, 2.66 mmol) in THF (25 mL) at room temperature was added TBAF (2.8 mL of a 1 M solution in THF, 2.8 mmol). The reaction was stirred for 2.5 hours, then diluted with saturated brine (100 mL) and extracted with dichloromethane (4×120 mL). The combined organic phases were dried (MgSO4) and concentrated in vacuo. Purification by column chromatography in ethyl acetate:methanol (9:1) gave the product as an oil. 0.824 g, 61%.
