Reaction Steps

To a solution of Example 41 (1.23 g, 1.86 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (3 mL) was added tetrabutylammonium fluoride (1.0 M in tetrahydrofuran) (1.9 mL, 1.9 mmol). The reaction was stirred at room temperature under argon for 4 hours, then the reaction was poured into water (20 mL). Brine (80 mL) was added, and the reaction extracted with dichloromethane (3×80 mL). The organics were dried (MgSO4) and the solvent removed in vacuo. Column chromatography (dichloromethane:methanol 9:1) gave the product as a white foam, 1.54 mmol, 83%.
