A solution of 1-benzyl-7-methylene-2-oxo-2,3,4,5,6,7-hexahydro-1H-1,4-benzodiazonine (94 mg, 0.32 mmol) and 3-methylphenylisocyanate (42 μl, 0.33 mmol) was stirred in dichloromethane (2 ml) at room temperature for 3 hours. Evaporation of the solvent and chromatography on silica gel with ethyl acetate-hexane as eluant (1:1) gave the product. (131 mg, 96%).
