A solution of 1-benzyl-7-methyl-2-oxo-2,3,4,5,6,7-hexahydro-1H-1,4-benzodiazonine (96 mg, 0.33 mmol) and 3-methylphenylisocyanate (47 μl, 0.36 mmol) was stirred in dioxan (2 ml) at room temperature for 2 hours. Evaporation of the solvent and chromatography on silica gel with ethyl acetate-hexane (1:2) as eluant gave the product. (102 mg, 72%).
