Procedure
The preparation is carried out as in Example 25 but from 0.3 g of ethyl 8-(N,N-dimethylaminocarbonylmethyl)-4,5-dihydro-4-oxo-10H-imidazo[1,2-a]indeno[1,2-e]pyrazin-2-carboxylate, 15 ml of dioxane, 15 ml of water and 2.3 ml of 1N sodium hydroxide solution. 0.2 g of 8-(N,N-dimethylaminocarbonylmethyl)-4,5-dihydro-4-oxo-10H-imidazo[1,2-a]indeno[1,2-e]pyrazin-2-carboxylic acid is obtained in the form of an ochre solid melting above 260° C. (Analysis C18H16N4O4 ; % Calculated C: 61.36, H: 4.58, N: 15.90, O: 18.16; % Found C: 61.1, H: 4.5, N: 15.6, O: 18.0).
