A mixture of 12-4 (1.7 g, 5.6 mmol) and benzylamine (8 mL, 73.2 mmol) was heated in a sealed-tube at 95° C. for 24 hr. The crude reaction mixture was purified using silica gel flash chromatography (EtOAc/hexanes 1:3 to 1:1) to afford the desired product 12-5 as an oil. Rf (silica, EtOAc/hexanes 1:1)=0.63.
