36.2 g of 4-phenoxy-3-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-5-sulphamoylbenzoic acid are dissolved in 200 ml of methanol and 7 ml of concentrated H2SO4 and heated for 4 to 6 hours under reflux. Upon cooling, the ester crystallises. Recrystallisation from methanol; M.p. 191° C.
