Reaction Steps
Treatment of 23.1 g. (0.150 mole) of 5,5-dimethyl-1-octyn-3-ol (Example 998) with 126 g. of dihydropyran and 1 drop of phosphorus oxychloride as described in Example 995 gives the title compound.
