Demethylation of (861) prepared as described in example 442 with BBr3 using the procedure described in example 80 gave (862) (98%) which was used without further purification. 1H NMR δ [(CD3)2SO] 8.04 (d, J=2.3 Hz, 1H), 7.91 (s, 1H), 7.56 (d, J=8 Hz, 1H), 7.45 (m, 3H), 7.2 (d, J=2.5 Hz, 1H). MH−:443.9, 441.9, 439.9.
