Reaction Steps
Reaction of 5-chloro-2-(4-aminobutyl)-3-methylpyridine [from Example 5(a)] (1.0 g) with 2-nitroamino-5-(6-methylpyrid-3-ylmethyl)-4-pyrimidone (1.23 g) under conditions analogous to those described in Example 1(f) gave 2-[4-(5-chloro-3-methylpyrid-2-yl)butylamino]-5-(6-methylpyrid-3-ylmethyl)-4-pyrimidone (0.53 g) m.p. 140°-141° C.
