Procedure

A suspension of the product of Procedure 86 (0.1 mol) in 150 ml. 25% aqueous acetic acid is cooled to 0° C. and treated by dropwise addition of an aqueous solution of sodium nitrite (0.11 mol). After stirring at 0° C. for an hour, the mixture is warmed to room temperature, the solid collected by filtration, washed with water and air dried.
