Reaction Steps
Using the procedure of Example 1, (1R,cis) 2,2-dimethyl-3(E)-[2-fluoro-3-oxo-3-ethoxy-propenyl]-cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid and 3-(2-propynyl)-2,5-dioxoimidazolidinyl-methanol were reacted to obtain 3-(2-propynyl)-2,5-dioxoimidazolidinyl-methyl (1R,cis) 2,2-dimethyl-3(E)-[2-fluoro-3-oxo-3-ethoxy-propenyl]-cyclopropane-1-carboxylate with a specific rotation of [α]D20 =+12°±2° (c=0.5% in chloroform).
