4-(4-Bromo-phenyl)-piperazine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.171 g, 0.5 mmol), Na2CO3 (0.16 g, 1.5 mmol), 4-fluoro phenyl boronic acid (0.21 g, 1.5 mmol) and (PPh3)2PdCl2 (0.035 g, 0.05 mmol) were mixed in a mixture of THF/H2O (4:1, 7.5 mL) and heated at 70° C. overnight. After cooling to rt, the reaction mixture was partitioned between 50 mL ethyl acetate and 25 mL sat. NaCl solution. The separated organic layer washed with brine (10 mL), dried (MgSO4) and concentrated. The crude was purified with prep TLC (15% ethyl acetate in hexanes) to give a solid (0.071 g). M+H 356.
