Reaction Steps
In a manner similar to the preparation of ethyl (S)-2-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-3-(3′-methylaminomethylbiphenyl-4-yl)propionate (Example 28d) using 10.2 g (26.6 mmol) of methyl (R)-2-tert-butoxycarbonyl-amino-3-(3′-formylbiphenyl-4-yl)propionate, 5.0 g of expected amine are isolated with a 50% yield.
