The title compound is prepared essentially as described for 3-{[4-(4-acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propyl-phenoxymethyl)-phenyl]-hydroxy-methyl}-benzoic acid employing 3-[4-(4-acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propyl-phenoxymethyl)-benzoyl]-benzonitrile, to give the title compound (52 mg, 100%), as a white powder. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 13.34 (bs, 1H), 12.89 (s, 1H), 8.22-8.26 (m, 2H), 8.01 (d, 1H), 7.82-7.87 (m, 3H), 7.75 (t, 1H), 7.65-7.68 (m, 2H), 6.75 (d, 1H), 5.42 (s, 2H), 2.60-2.68 (m, 5H), 1.50-1.55 (m, 2H), 0.91 (t, 3H). LCMS M−1 431.
