Reaction Steps
A solution of benzyl-(5,6diethyl-2-methyl-indan-2-yl)-amine (0.48 g) in methanol (10 ml) is stirred under an atmosphere of hydrogen in the presence of 10% Pd/C at room temperature for 18 hours. The mixture is filtered through celite and the filtrate is concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound. ES+ MS m/e 204 (MH+)
