By procedures essentially the same as those described in Example 2, and by substituting 4-[4-(6,1]-dihydro-11-hydroxydibenz[b,e]oxepin-11-yl)-1-piperidinyl]-1-[4-(1,1-dimethylethyl)phenyl]butanone for 4-[4-(10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[a,d]cyclohepten-5-ylidene)-1-piperidinyl]-1-[4-(1,1-dimethylethyl)phenyl]-1-butanone maleate; the corresponding 11-[1-[4-[4-(1,1-dimethylethyl)phenyl]-4-hydroxybuty]]-4-piperidinyl]-6,11-dihydrodibenz[b,e]oxepin-11-ol, mp 135°-137° C. and 162-165° C. (ether), was prepared.
