4-Cyanophenylboronic acid and 4-bromo-3-methylphenol were processed as described in Example 167A to provide the title compound (60% yield). 1HNMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ2.20 (s, 3H), 4.68 (bs, 1H), 6.78 (m, 2H), 7.15 (m, 1H), 7.42 (m, 2H), 7.76(m, 2H); MS (CDI) m/z 227 (M+NH4)+.
