A solution of [(R)-3-(3-Amino-4-hydroxy-phenyl)-1-hydroxymethyl-1-methyl-propyl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (500 mg, 1.61 mmol) and hexanimidic acid ethyl ester hydrochloride (318 mg, 1.77 mmol) in DCM (6 ml) was stirred for 16 hours at RT. Evaporation of the solvent in vacuum was followed by silica gel chromatography (eluent: DCM/methanol 40/1). Product containing fractions were pooled and evaporated in vacuum. Crystallization from pentane provided the title compound as a colorless solid. mp: 92.7/92.6
