Procedure
A solution of sodium hydroxide (0.0108 g, 0.27 mmol) in water (0.1 mL) was added to the solution of Example 7 (0.104 g, 0.27 mmol) in methanol (5 mL) and stirred at 25° C. for 15 min, the solvent was removed and dried to obtain the title compound. Yield: 0.11 g, (100%); 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 300 MHz): δ 2.58 (s, 3H, CH3), 5.16 (s, 2H, CH2), 7.69 (d, 1H, Ar), 7.87 (d, 1H, Ar), 7.95 (s, 1H, Ar), 8.11 (s, 1H, Ar), 8.30 (s, 1H, CHO), 10.78 (s, 1H, NH); MS: m/e (ES−) 380 (M-Na); analysis: C16H11ClNNaO6S.2H2O requires C, 43.70; H, 3.44; N, 3.81; Cl, 8.06; S, 7.29. found: C, 42.88; H, 3.19; N, 3.04; Cl, 8.69; S, 7.67%.
