Procedure

The title product was prepared from 1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4,4-dimethylpiperidine-2,6-dione (233 mg, 1.00 mmol)) and 1-methyl-3-(methyl-phenyl-carbamoyl)-3H-imidazol-1-ium iodide (343 mg, 1.00 mmol) by applying general procedure 3 (192 mg, 52%, white solid). HPLC-MS m/z=367 (M+1); Rt=3.78 min.
