Procedure

Reaction of 5-chloro-1-methyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazole and 2-(methylamino)ethanol gave 2-(methyl(1-methyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)amino)ethanol as a yellow oil (0.2 g, 81%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.04 (s, 1H), 3.79 (s, 3H), 3.72 (q, J=5.4 Hz, 2H), 3.33 (t, J=5.4 Hz, 2H), 2.93 (s, 3H), 1.91 (t, J=5.4 Hz, 1H)
