The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 192(A), from 2-iodopyridine (74 mg, 0.36 mmol) and 2-(but-3-ynyl)-5-fluoro-1-methyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazole (73 mg, 0.36 mmol). The crude residue was purified over silicagel chromatography (prepacked 2 g silicagel column, DCM/MeOH: from 100/0 to 98/2 as eluent) to afford 28 mg of 5-fluoro-1-methyl-2-(4-(pyridin-2-yl)but-3-ynyl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazole as a orange oily solid (Yield: 27%).
