A solution of benzyl 3-(2-ethoxy-2-oxoethyl)-3-(3-(4-octylphenyl)ureido)pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (140 mg, 0.26 mmol) in EtOH (5 mL) was purged with nitrogen and Pd/C (25 mg) was added and the flask was purged with hydrogen and stirred for 24 h. The mixture was filtered through celite and concentrated. The residue was dissolved into H2O and lyophilized to give the title compound as a white solid (84 mg, 80%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ 7.25 (d, 2H, J=7.9 Hz), 7.08 (d, 2H, J=8.1 Hz), 4.16 (q, 2H, J=7.1 Hz), 4.05-4.02 (m, 1H), 3.51-3.47 (m, 2H), 3.23-3.19 (m, 1H), 2.91-2.87 (m, 1H), 2.57-2.50 (m, 3H), 2.26-2.20 (m, 1H), 1.60-1.57 (m, 2H), 1.31-1.23 (m, 15H), 0.90 (t, 3H, J=6.6 Hz).
