To (1R,6S)-tert-butyl 8-(4-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidin-2-yl)-3,8-diazabicyclo[4.2.0]octane-3-carboxylate (185 mg, 0.5 mmol) in DCM (3 mL) was added TFA (3 mL). After 3 h, the reaction was concentrated, neutralized with 5% Na2CO3 (aq) and extracted with DCM (3×). The combined organics were dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated to give the title compound that was used without further purification. MS (ESI) mass calcd. For C11H13F3N4, 258.2; m/z found 259.1 [M+H]+
