N-Benzyl-4-(3,4-dihydro-2,6-naphthyridin-2(1H)-yl)-N-methylcyclohexanamine (250 mg, 0.746 mmol, 1.0 eq.) was dissolved in MeOH (5 ml) and degassed with N2. Pd(OH)2 (250 mg) was then added and hydrogenation was carried out for 8 hours. After monitoring by TLC, the reaction mixture was filtered over Celite and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure. The crude product so obtained was used in the next stage without being purified further. Yield: 67% (124 mg, 0.506 mmol)
