Reaction Steps
The procedure described in Example 8 was repeated using 1.7 g of 3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-5-trifluoromethylbenzaldehyde and 1.0 g of acetophenone. Yield 1.1 g (45%), m.p. 166°-168° C.
