Procedure
A solution of the product of Example 3 as the free base (0.25 g) in a mixture of ethanol (5 ml) and liquid ammonia (50 ml) was heated at 100° for 3 days in an autoclave. The solvent was evaporated and the residue was purified by flash chromatography eluting with dichloromethane/methanol/ammonia 100:10:2 as eluent to give the free base of the title compound as an oil (0.14 g). A solution of the oil in a mixture of diethyl ether and methyl acetate was treated with ethereal hydrogen chloride. The resulting solid was washed with diethyl ether and dried to give the title compound as a solid (0.065 g) T.l.c. Silica, Dichloromethane/ethanol/ammonia (75:10:2) Rf 0.45.
